My two cents...

...on feedback. When I first starting writing, it was very important to me. I was such a nervous wreck when I posted my first story I thought I might be sick. Fortunately, the TS list was so very generous and supportive, the response I recieved did a lot in giving me the courage to keep writing.

Now it's not so important, but still very, very much appreciated. As I said in a previous entry, I got some fb about a story that I wasn't feeling too good about, and it made me think, 'well, someone likes it' and gave me the nudge to seriously at least consider continuing with it. Not that the future of a story would depend on the response I recieved - it's just nice to know that there's someone else besides myself looking forward to having the next part or story finished.

I do like to give fb (almost always "late"), especially to new writers. Even if it's only to say "good for you for giving it a try". It's never really crossed my mind before to consider who the author is. If I thought I wasn't worthy enough to offer my opinion to anyone whose work was better than mine, I'd never have to worry about fb'ing at all!! *g*
