We give her antibiotics twice a day and we use an antibiotic cream on the cut. Lisa hasn't completely recovered. She hasn't eaten yet but she drank some water and paid a visit to the litter box. I am heart-broken seeing her like this. Wondering if I did the right thing putting her through this ordeal. It's the first time I'm dealing with something like this and I confess I am a complete mess. I wish I could keep my cool and help her better.

I am sure you did the right thing. As she is otherwise healthy, she will bounce back in no time!!

I hope with all my heart she will bounce back and objectively, I understand that she can't be running around now, but I'm having a panic attack at the moment seeing her so far from her old self.

I understand you.. I remember when Rossini was neutered, he had a hard time getting over the anesthesia. He was really down for two or three days, while Blanche, who had been spayed the same day, after no time was already busy being a bitch and clawing and biting her stitches out. And they were both the same age - 2 years. I probably made my vet crazy calling him every few hours about Rossini, as I couldn´t believe he would be so drowsy and would not eat for so much time.. but apparently the anesthesia does this to some cats. I really hope she will feel a lot better tomorrow!!! *hugs*

She is feeling better today. She ate - finally. But she still prefers to lay low, preferably avoiding us because we annoy her with pills, creams and moving her from where she wants to be to where we want her to be. She has her gown back because she started licking her paws and probably going towards the red zone.
