So it's been 8 weeks since I last donated so I figured I should go and donate again. My roommate, Lindsey, had just moved back from San Antonio so I asked her if she wanted to come too. Well we get there and everything's going along fine until my blood starts to clot. That causes the blood flow into the IV to decrease and possibly stop, so the lady who drew my blood was telling she's going to have to move the needle around a little bit to see if she can get the blood flow to increase. Well it just went all downhill from there. The moving around the needle didn't hurt at all, I barely even felt it, it was her telling me that she was going to move a needle around in my vein, how could that not make someone feel faint? Lindsey said that I turned white, I didn't faint though. The workers just laid me back and put cold, wet towels on my forehead, and they gave me some Capri Sun. The thing that sucks most about it was that my blood had clotted the needle so they couldn't get a full pint and it was all for nothing. Oh well, maybe better next time. They said I should drink more water the mext time I come in.
