If you think that the movie was that amazing and insightful you should read the book because there is so much more depth to the story.
I agree with you completely on the insights on the word 'illuminati'. When i first read the book it made me also question the many facates of society that could be reflected in the same way. It truly changed my way of thinking, which is one of the things that good literature always does to me
