So after an entire evening of planning how we were going to get to Stonewall and then leave Stonewall and where we were going to stay once we got to Stonewall, Andrea Marilyn and i decided to get a hotel room at the Stonewall motorInn. We got there only to find out that all 10 rooms were booked up, well what do we do now? So we got drinks at the Rock which is the bar connected to the hotel and made our beer and cocktails green and watched the hockey game, and i spilled an entire travel mug of vodka tonic in my purse. We later crossed the street to the legion where a sign read "pancake breakfast and firemen's due(sp?) Sept 29 and 30th" we met up with megan and craig and drank in andrea's foggy car and then attended a fantastic social, where i won the 'his' auction prize which Richard was ecstatic about when i brought it home this morning. I made maybe the best social sandwich to date, megan played my heart will go on on the recorder and the bride's father was very impressed with my Beausejour beer mug with a bell on it that Jenn Wilgosh found in her basement and gave me on my birthday. The cowbell was played to Mony Mony and 80s rock and roll dance with high kicks was performed by everyone. A 50 year old woman was quite taken with my polka skill and endurance, and after joining people in a kolomeyka type circle i quickly rushed to the bathroom after partaking in too much physical activity after drinking some very frothy green beer. I helped the wedding party clean up the social leftovers and we ended the night with a communal slow dance which was very much influenced by Megan's movement in theater class and i slowed danced with a mannequin body. We then walked back over to the Rock where 'Stonewall guy" bought andrea a drink and the last song of the night was Roxette she's got the look. We then went mingling by going up to people and saying "So Stonewall" and then giving the thumbs up and then i sat cross-legged and watched kenny vs spenny on the big screen in the Rock very much like rolly the dalmation. We experienced the most random act of kindness, Megan's friend Jessica's family offered three complete drunk strangers their sleeping bags and hyda-bed, I cannot express how truly touched i was by this Stonewall family's hospitality.
