I don't know what to tell you about december it has been, well i just don't know. Megan and i went to indie night on thur. All the cool kids in polka dots and razored hair cuts looked at me funny because i was wearing a plastic jacket circa 1997, but i was looking at them funny because they were Not wearing plastic jackets, phh losers. The last time we went was tons of fun largely because we went upstairs and were the only ones at the die machine, literally, and the Dj played Europe final countdown for us. you can only imagine the stellar performance Megan and i gave. This time we left to go to the toad after the Arctic monkeys circa not 1980-1994 was played. We had some wine and talked about the Ewasko's water beds, which i never thought was odd until Megan pointed it out. Max and Rick got a new waterbed. it was purchased from the same man who sold them their last water bed 25 years ago, he now sells telescopes as well. The arctic Monkeys were played at the toad and then we went back to the collective. Osborne karaoke was open and i wanted so badly their sidewalk sign that was chained down. Megan had to go to the Atm so i was left alone at indie night for much longer than i wanted, so i went up to the Dj booth, "I don't really like the people here, can i hang out with you?" I then got bored of them and went to the coat check, "I don't really like the people here can i hang out with you?" and megan showed up and we then had to catch our bus. We took the bus to Tim Horton's on Henderson. I thought we were very clear about our order, but apparently not, it was weird. a cabby went through the drive thru so he took us home. On the way home we discussed how we really weren't very drunk and Megan decided to just drive home from my house. I went to bed and had to let the dog out when i realized how intoxicated I was and began to worry if maybe at that moment Megan also realized how drunk she was. I think it is a 20+ year old thing to think your are more sober than you are and are capable of doing things you probably shouldn't.
Last saturday i went to Ron Sexsmith, Jill Barber opened. It was a stupendous show. One of the most enjoyable live performances i have witnessed. Exams are over which isn't so great since now that school is over i have to take my sleeping bag to the casino for i now am living there. I am usually stuck bartending depressing christmas parties, which is not as bad as it could be. I have to work New Years Eve, which will be what bad dreams about the casino are made of, so i have just decided today that i may go into a government work place a little drunk.
and that has been the lighter side of December so far.
