Me to You
Yeah, well, I know I deserted this place for no reason. I'm supposed to fill it with awesomeness and all, but I ran out of that, I guess. I'm looking forward to the Versailles trip planned for the next Sunday (March 29th) and finally meeting in person two awesome people. Yay!
Also, I got a new layout, different from the usual ones. I love the cute small font, although it is a little hard to read. It wouldn't work properly, so... :(
Ever since Mom and I innovated our query letter with a small poem delivered from a counting rhyme, we seem to get more positive feedback, yet no signed contract so far. There's one agent that got query + synopsis + 3 first chapters and who seemed interested at the first glance, so maybe I'll hear something encouraging from her soon, fingers crossed.
In case you were curious, here's the little poem (I bet many of those ladies/gents honorable agents are tired of standard queries).
One, two, Roland is so blue
Three, four, Ethan and Chris live some more
Five, six, Radwar and Dorian lay down tower bricks
Seven, eight, Dara and Royce are too late
Nine, ten, Dominic brings only pain
Eleven, twelve, Armand is not afraid of elves
Thirteen, fourteen, Dawn, Denise and Deidre wore green
Fifteen, sixteen, the angels aren't seen
Seventeen, Eighteen, Anita lives in between
Nineteen, twenty, Miranda's heart is empty...
And, yes, we did use the majority of our characters for those lines. Plus, we finally managed to come up with a decent short synopsis and a detailed synopsis as well. Phew, that was HARD. So, yes, waiting... Tapping my fingers over the desk... yeah...
