I can't figure out exactly how....but in book seven a phoenix and/or Fawkes is going to come into play somehow.
Fawkes has come into play SO many times as a huge help, being instrumental in overcoming whatever challenge is facing Harry and everyone. I don't know, I was just really effected by CoS when I listened to it this time, so much happens in this book.
We get an insight into the Malfoy's and we see Lucius step up his efforts to be a "friend" of the ministry in following books. This is the first book we see Fudge arresting somemone w/ no real evidence just so the ministry can "look like they are doing something". Harry when in the CoS w/ Tom and Ginny is still young and innocent enough that he can just blindly go w/ the belief that believing in someone is enough - he hasn't taken the guilt of Ginny's situation on himself yet.
It's just such a good book.
Anyway on the CD Fawkes just blinded the basilisk and I was left thinking that although the Phoenix song was over in HBP I don't think Harry has seen the last of the power Fawkes can bring him.
It's like it is all so clear but the answers are just beyond my reach.
