I can't stop reading this soap opera like account of HP fandom history!
I like to snark and as such I have a JournalFen account. It's times like this I am thankful for my snarky side as w/o it I might have never found the community Bad Penny.
So when checking my friends and watching list I run across this , which continues into Part One, Two and Three. I swear it is the most interesting and disturbing accounts of flat out fandom batshit I have ever read. Quite a few replies shed some light on the whole thing also - it seems all the people in the fandom in the earlier days of the fandom (pre-OotP) have little bits they are adding and filling in the blanks.
My only word of warning is make sure you have a LOT of time on your hands before you start reading as this is addictive like heroin.
