Chris Benoit and Steroids

The more I watch one-on-one interviews by left or right wing media big shots, the more I want to slap each and every one of them in the face.  The whole thing isn't really just based on something they individually believe in as much as it is something that just feels like it's in fashion and that's what must be stuck to.

They're on the radio and the television sets.  If something horrible (in their eyes) is thrown on the table, it's always "just like [the opposing party] to do this," as if there is no such thing as anybody at all on the same side who would think or do such a thing, and that's absolutely ridiculous.

These guys refuse to consider being wrong about anything at all, and one of these issues has been clearly demonstrated during the interviews with professional wrestlers about the Chris Benoit murder-suicide case.  As soon as one of the wrestlers try to make a point about anything that has to do with not pointing the finger to a single tear in a mound of paper machè, they get interrupted.

You may be asking, "What the fuck did you just say?"

I'm talking about roid rage being the absolute single reason that Benoit killed his family.  How outright blasphemous!  Yet this is the only thing that these big shots want to bring up and drill on and drill on and drill on.  It just had to be roid rage!  Never mind the alcohol and numerous other drugs; never mind any other problems that might have been going on that we will never know about; we'll just keep the world focused on steroids.

Don't get me wrong.  I'm not one-sided on this issue.  Steroids are still steroids.  It's no secret that they are commonly used in wrestling (or nearly any other sport for that matter) and I'm not defending or opposing them.  I'm opposed to the misinformation that emerges from the mouths of the big shots who have the opportunity to spill their guts out on national T.V. to demand faith in their words on something they basically have zero knowledge in, but believe wholeheartedly.  The same misinformation simply cannot be corrected by the interviewee who obviously knows more about the subject, because it will be interrupted promptly and all of the attention will again focus back on one little shred of paper.

Steroid abuse could very well have played a role in the reason why Benoit snapped, but could it be the only reason?  You've got to be kidding me if you really believe it is.  If you do, it's about time you stop concentrating on just one of the many torn pieces of paper that lay together in the same pile.
