Isola - Round 3
Churning these out right now! I'm not too good at introductions so without further ado let's check in on the Tiani/Talani household!
I HAVE A RECORDED NICE POTTY FACE. Can I be in the cool simmers club now?
Linje continues to live his life of fussing over any baby he encounters.
Olabisi: *angst*
Nui apparently believes in survival of the fittest. That's pretty precocious of him.
Nora just believes in as much woohoo as she can cram into her day, which means baby number two is on the way!
(That rhymed! I'm a poet and I didn't know it).
Baakir is up late most evenings doing... Chiefly things? So he usually slips into bed after Nora is out.
Baakir and Linje spend a lot of time out hunting, so it falls to Nora and Tuula to care for the young.
(I really wish Nora's outfit had a pregnancy morph...)
One evening, while Nora showers (thanks, Linea!) she feels the baby's arrival.
Olabisi, despite her young age, is a natural at midwifery. She senses that the next shaman of Isola is coming, and rushes to inform the Chief.
She's correct, and soon Nora officially goes into labour.
Thanks to Olabisi, the birth is smooth and indeed, a daughter has been born. The next shaman of the Wanmami Tribe, Maluhia Tiani. She has a slightly darker skin-tone than her brother Nui, and her mother's eyes. Maluhia will be very special to Olabisi, and you'll find out why in a bit.
Nora's eager to try for baby number three (some romance sim she is), but Baakir worries for her health, and wants to wait a while.
Aumoe grew into a child, but it seems I never took a picture of her as a child. See, when sims transition they usually grow up in very inappropriate clothing for a castaway island, so I hurry to clothe them and sometimes I forget to take an actual picture. The same thing happens to Nui, but at least I have some shots of him round other households.
Aumoe is just generally neglected (by me, anyway).
It's Olabisi's turn to grow up now, so she gets one last act of childhood...
And grows up in the shower. As you do.
Olabisi is a knowledge sim, and finally has some quarters all to herself.
Maluhia also lives in her quarters, true to shaman culture. The future shaman is raised by the current one and is, for all intents and purposes, the shaman's child. This is another reason she cannot bear children of her own, as it will distract from instilling the shamanistic teachings into the apprentice.
... Baakir is weak-willed when it comes to Nora, what can I say?
And here's the promised transition that I forgot to take an after picture for!
That rounds off the Tiani/Talani household for now, so here's a shot of the house after renovations. Bottom left is Tuula and Linje's quarters where Aumoe also sleeps, bottom right is the throne room. Top left is the Chief's quarters, and top right is the Shaman's quarters.
Castaway Camp
Majestic outhouse shot, just for mswn. Now that Linea's solved Isola's water problem, they can shower to their heart's content!
These two continue to be adorable - though they could choose a better spot than Orson and Daniela's bed!
Burton and his one nice point continues to disapprove of everything and quietly plots to murder everyone.
I continue to keep posting shots of this family. I DON'T PLAY FAVOURITES WHAT DO YOU MEAN.
Danny continues to stalk Davina at every possible opportunity.
Well, at least we know what the back of Nui's head looks like as a child!
AHA. Thought you could go undetected, did you Nui?
This lot used to have two tiny kitchens (one pictured here, one in Orson's shack), but since the one in Orson's shack was removed they decided to beef up this one. It now has a proper stove, and Candy came across some old cassette tapes while Linea found an old stereo to play them! Isola could do with a radio station, though such a task would be monumental considering they're surviving off the power of a single makeshift wind turbine at the moment.
... *goes to put curtains on every available surface*
Oh, Orson... you'd have a heart attack if you know what happened on the sofa just the other side of the room from you last night.
I imagine it would be a mix of 'OH THE GERMS' and 'OH THE LADIES' leaving him in some sort of drooling catatonic state.
I don't know if you remember what I said last time, about Simon and Grace maybe having something in common considering they're ~so nice~ (i.e. pushovers). Well, Grace was walking past so Simon went out to greet her, and they quickly became the best of friends.
Meanwhile, Danny is about to become a teenager and is super bummed about it. I really cannot emphasise enough how much Danny follows Davina around, playing red hands and catch with her...
Jeez Orson, you got a death wish or something?
Danny grows up to be quite handsome, if a bit face one-y. Despite his occasionally brutish nature, he did roll a fair few wants for Nora and his mother in childhood. When it comes to choosing sims' aspirations, I usually take a cue from their wants and personality. Consequently, Danny becomes a family sim!
I swear Daniela is the only competent parent on this entire bloody island. They are all on a 2x2 square with a hefty drop! I expect this tomfoolery from Candy, but Linea is supposed to be the sensible one around here!
I'm just asking you to wait FIVE DAYS, DANNY.
... You all saw it. A WILD ANIMAL came into the camp and broke their telescope!
Yes. A wild animal. This BaCC is so RP right now.
Everyone else just kind of shrugged over the ordeal, but Simon here wept big babby tears. ~gentle spirit~
Okay, I JUST MISSED IT, but this is screwed up! Danny must be feeling pretty aggravated that Davina hasn't had her teenage birthday yet (I've got that 'first kiss' want locked) so he TRIES TO KISS HER MOTHER.
DANNY. tried to kiss. CANDY.
LINEA SAW YOU DANNY. LINEA SAW.
Linea: *smiles and thinks about murder*
(By the way that 'changed aspiration' memory was me changing his aspiration so that his lifetime want would show up immediately rather than me having to leave the lot first. 6 Grandchildren - not at the rate you're going DANNY-BOY)
Yes, Danny. Yes. That face is entirely appropriate. You're 13 and you just tried to KISS A 30 YEAR OLD WOMAN.
Once Danny runs away (and rightly so), Linea feels she must reaffirm her claim to Candy. Candy's all too happy to oblige.
And while Linea and Candy are doing what they do best, Danny goes to find Davina and plays an extremely sexually frustrated game of red hands in the thunderstorm.
This is the most screwed-up UST I've ever seen.
But as the weather clears up, so does the temperament of everyone in the camp and soon it's time to harvest the second batch of crops. Daniela picks while Candy replants.
Burton becomes a child, which means there are NO MORE BABIES ON THIS LOT! Woo!
Burton: *thinks* Yes, yes, most satisfactory...
That's all for our weirdest household in Isola! Finally, on to some good old fashioned piracy!

Customary triplets spam.
Davina sneaks into this household too, with an adorable head-pat to boot.
Murray is definitely the more domestic partner of the parents. Most of the time, both parents are down at the shop while the triplets do whatever they want, but Murray's usually the one who sets dinner out and make sure they've washed before bed.
How come I've got a clear shot of Nui's face in every household except his OWN? The great mysteries of my simming career.
Morag: YOU TOUCHED THE BONE, NOW YOU MUST BUY IT! *raises fist*
Simon: Okay, Okay! I-I don't w-w-want any t-trouble!
Morag: This map could lead to unknown treasure!
Candy: Morag, you are, like, totally uncool. You tried to beat up my kid!
Morag: Oh... that? Just some, um, hard sell tactics. But that's all in the past! This is quality merchandise!

What is with all the WILD ANIMAL attacks in Isola lately?
Come on triplets, there's three of you and one of her! You can take her!
The WILD ANIMAL gets some boring decorative items that are replace immediately. The triplets are unfazed. Back to bed!
Morag has finally come to convince Baakir to let her map the northern side of the island. Now that the triplets can walk and move around, she feels she can leave for a few days on her expedition. She'll be going alone with naught but the hat on her head (and hopefully the clothes on her back), but everyone suspects very little danger on the island.
Baakir admits that once the island has been completely mapped and there appears to be no known danger, he will allow everyone to expand on whatever land they desire. It has been the concern for safety that has stopped everyone from moving out of their original camps so far.
I'm going to wrap it up here, FOR NOW. Tune in later today, for the story of Morag's expedition! It'll be a little interlude piece all by itself, not really part of a rotation, but important to the BaCC storyline overall!
