Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire Movie Review

Let's see, where to start...
(Possible Spoilers)

Okay, movie wise then.
Overall, there was a sloppy... choppy rushed feeling to the film. But I don't blame them, how long is the fourth book again?
I like how Cuarón mixed in this artistic feel in Azkaban that the previous two movies lacked. A clear feel that reached the point. GoF felt like it missed that. Keeping the movie short sacrificed a lot of essential things in the storyline too, enough to get people who haven't read the books confused. That and it moved at a fast pace, introducing a lot of new characters and events, barely giving each enough time to shine. Reflecting back on it, it does feel like it missed the point. The true tone of the book was kind of foggy too.
It was a great movie, nonetheless. I just really disappointed that they showed off those stunning graphics at the beginning of the championship, but left it as that. "Cool, cool, cool, cool... aw, that was all?"
Snape didn’t really have enough time on screen, and Dumbledore looked like he was about to murder Harry half of the time. The young actors are getting a lot better, however. And GoF had it's fair share of humor, like in the beginning when Hermione wakes Harry and Ron up, or when the twins grow beards (who didn't love the twins in this movie? XD), and when Snape bonks Harry and Ron on the head three times.
I like how the Beauxbatons and Drumstrang students made their entrance too, and Filch running about, haha. The actress who played Rita Skeeter portrayed her well. The Yule Ball was pretty, even if it only lasted a couple of minutes.
GoF also had it's emotional moments, Hermione crying at the end of the Yule Ball was one, and Mr. Diggory and Harry crying over Cedric's dead body was another.
Moody was played well enough, and mad enough.
I specially liked how Voldemort turned out after the transformation, his robes where all fluttery. XD
All in all, good. Makes me want to go back and reread the books, again.

This was rather short, maybe I'll expand on it later.
Then again, maybe not.
