Do you ever feel like relativism should have its limits? Like when your roommate, who is usually a rational person but is an evangelical (I'm learning not to think of it as a dirty word), tells you she doesn't believe in the "theory" of evolution? After we just went through biochemistry together and everything! She's not taking second-semester intro biology this semester because it was entitled "Genetics and Evolution". Oh well.
Evolution exists! I'm telling you, it does!
I'm frustrated but I respect her as a person and so I'm changing the subject.
How could she even think of majoring in Environmental Science when she doesn't believe in evolution? It really beats me.
Oh, college. I suppose this is one of those "growing through meeting people with different opinions from you" experiences you're supposed to get from it. But seriously? Evolution?!
