Step 1: Put your mp3 player on random
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarassing.
Step 3: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is cheating.

I had to skip a lot of foreign-language music and the songs with eponymous first lines.
Wow, nice job, people. Anyone want to tackle the obscurer ones?I don't like this new reformatting of the post entry thing.
I'm waiting for my mom to come tomorrow... so I started reading "Waiting for Godot". Appropriately. It is strange but sublime. This is the year of Beckett- I think it's the 100th anniversary of his birth- so they're showing his plays all over the place here. And I AM SO HAPPY! I found a library with actual literature in ENGLISH where I can take out books! YAY ENGLISH and YAY BOOKS
I also wandered around with Amanda all over Montmartre, and had a delicious salade au chevre chaud in a little cafe that looked like a frenchified diner. The light was beautiful- it lit up the smog to create a heavenly effect all over the panoramic view of Paris from the Butte Montmartre. I went back into the Sacre Coeur (pity it's so touristy) and was quizzing myself on architectural terms.
All this walking around was to avoid doing work, of course. But at least the afternoon was lovely. And it's still so warm here that flowers are still blooming- apparently it's warmer than usual- so even if it's indicative of global warming, the temperature is making December cheerful. And last night I finished my art history paper, and now I'm almost a third through my other 10-page paper. Yay. My museums test went pretty well, too, I think. Except I don't want to work when my mom's here.
Channoucca tomorrow. Strangest spelling ever. I'm finding myself typing in French phonetics, even in English, which is starting to disturb me.
