*grin* I'm very glad you liked the kids. It's been interesting writing them, and thinking I probably brought them in a bit too soon, but it'll be a while, yet, before they get to the Academy. Though this might convince Kisuke that wandering around to do his testing/playing isn't a great idea... maybe this is where the cave comes from? *laughter*

Thank you, so much!! And I'm glad you enjoyed this in the cleaned up form. It's been a while since I read this... *laughter* It seems odd to realize I wrote it. It's kind of funny thinking of it that way.

:) Love it, love it, love it~! Especially how Jyuushiro sees Yoruichi as something more than just some kid. I can't wait for some more chibi Kisuke interaction, though, since Yoruichi was the central focus of this part. :D *looks forward to that in the future some time?*

*grin* Yes. The kids will be back, and Kisuke has better access to the Academy than Yoruichi does. So he might be around a bit more often. Yay!! I'm glad that Jyuushiro's view of them is good to you. He's got so many kids that depend on him in his family that he's kind of used to dealing with them, like NOT giving them a direct order. *giggles*

Wow. I have no idea, actually. *grin* It is an idea... there are already Shibas... and if Jyuushiro invites other kids to come over he's likely to ask the Tactics class if they can borrow kids of that age to come play. *grin*

O_O Wow. LOVED this. Since I'm a complete zanpakutou junkie, my favorite bit in this chapter was the way you described Ukitake feeling other people through his zanpakutou. Very, very nice. And the big brother of the Ukitake family practically adopting Yoruichi as another little sister was so cute. Also, THANK YOU for showing them being hesitant to kill. They're not toy soldiers, and I'm glad to see that here, especially since most of the opponents weren't Hollows. Can't wait to see where you go with this next.

Mmm... I should probably email you about how you see zanpakutou and how they interact with their owners and I've seen some of your fics and love how you depict them, but some of the... hmm... axioms you have about how they work. I'd be really interested, as the shikai thing is scaring me a bit. *laughter*

I'm glad that the interaction with Yoruichi worked for you. And yeah, I think it's human to hesitate at killing someone else. Solder or not... I have a few friends in the military and it's kind of gut-wrenching what they go through. Hollows are probably easier.

There is definitely more. :-)

Sure, drop me a line. The zanpakutou are the center of this whole universe that periodically eats my brain, so I have a hard time summarizing it all, but I love answering questions.

Definitely human to hesitate. It's just a pet peeve of mine to see supposedly inexperienced characters acting more calm and collected in a highly stressful situation than a bunch of robots, and it's always nice NOT to see that.

Oh! Yeah. I share that peeve, very much so. I remember, even in just a soccer game, getting tunnel vision and stuff.

Cool. I'd love to ask lots of questions. Maybe not tonight, but definitely.

I'm sorry it's been taking me so long to read through this (insert usual pleas of busyness, absent-mindedness) but I am really enjoying this series. I love your take on reiatsu and the zanpakutou and how the characters perceive these things.

One thing I like is that how while it is obvious that Shunsui and Jyuushirou are very well trained, they are not seasoned veterans. I also like how you're establishing the connection between Jyuushirou and Yoruichi that is implied (through his use of a Shihouin family artifact, etc.) in canon.

I am very happy that my observation in ch. 2 helped spur the wonderfulness in this chapter.

Thank you. I'm just really glad it wasn't me or where I took the story... *laughter* I have a bad tendency to think that way, and I appreciate, so much, what you have said in the past, I am glad you are taking the time and effort now ( ... )
