I've also learned that I can post things privately if they're partial, and then pick them up some other time. And it's easier to pick something up than come up with something completely new...
Learning is good.
Busy, busy, crazy weekend. Friday night, Jet and I worked the bake sale table at the church's holiday fair. He was great even though we were both hungry. It kind of helped and hurt having the free cookie table next to us, as it only, in the end, fanned the flames of hunger melt down. But he didn't quite melt all the way down, so it was good enough for us to get to dinner a little late. It was a good meal at Ragazzi's, but late enough to give both Jet and I some heartburn by bed time. *sigh*
Saturday morning was decorating the sanctuary with a couple of other groups, so it went pretty fast. Lunch was Lego Star Wars I with Jet, while we gnawed on grilled cheese sandwiches. Then Jet and John went ice skating for Macy's birthday party. She's now six! Woohoo. From there we did something for dinner and then went for game night, back at the church.
Sunday morning I made coffee for the first Sunday of the month. I had the last of the dreams/art classes. Jet and I went home by ourselves as John had a meeting until late. So Jet and I played Star Wars and ate McDonald's and I didn't feel in the least bit guilty for being a bad bad parent. It was too much fun to just do that with him. We also read two of the Dragonslayer's Academy books and then a third while going to bed. There was a spooky story in the book and poor Jet woke up with a nightmare with a Bad Germ that was killing him. So we talked a bit about Dr. Paul who was sure to kill any bad germs and Jet cried on me for a bit, and I pulled off the extra blanket from his bed as he was sweating badly from that and his blanket pajamas. Then I lay with him until he went to sleep and he slept peacefully for the rest of the night.
This morning John and I did a ton of errands including the grocery store, Target, the library, and some made in Colorado shopping at the Colorado Pantry. I have class tonight.
I'm thinking that I'm at the church way too much. *sigh* I'll have to figure out a better balance.
