Style question...

I hope someone can answer this. I am pretty sure that at one time while cruising aimlessly through options I saw a way to force that entries I view on other ljs are shown with the same style as I have with my own lj ( Read more... )

I really don't know. I've been trying to figure out how I can get rid of the navigation strip on other people's journals, because I don't use it and it looks rubbish on my monitor (which is the same size as yours). I can't seem to find the information anywhere though.

You can just add "?format=light" to the end of a page if the styles on it are unreadable - or do what I do, which is remove style settings entirely and just see black text on a white page. In firefox I do that by clicking view > page style > no style.

Yes, that navigation strip is ANNOYING! A lot of times when that strip is shown on top of a journal, the page looks completely messed up on my screen! - But well, I try not to read journals where this strip isn't disabled. *sighs*

Thanks. I know that I can add this - or "?style=mine" - but I had hoped for something more permanent than something I have to add manually every time. *sighs*

Hmm, I don't have Firefox. ;) And the only thing I can change easily in IE is the font size. To change style I'd have to go into Options every time - and most pages look HORRIBLE with style off! lol

At metafandom we add ?format=light at the end of a link. So this post would be http://lira-snape.livejournal.com/13995.html?format=light

Thanks. As I said to Lanta above, I know that. I was hoping for something more permanent than that. ;)

Well, I've decided to friend you, cause I keep using your lists to find fic.

And just as I'm doing that, I find there's a question I can answer - go here, and click on the "view comment pages in your own journal style" - it's towards the bottom.

I hope that's what you wanted!

Thank you very much. This might very well have been the very option I saw when I was just cruising through - but I kept overlooking it when I was desperately searching for it! :)

And glad you like my lists! :)
