One of BBC2's regular shows is "Days Which Shook The World". Last night's episode was about the day Nelson Mandela was released and it made me remember my childhood and think about the future.
When I was younger, we didn't have a television at home, but my mother decided that the day was such a momentous occasion that she'd let us watch it and I'll never forget us all sitting on the edges of our seats wondering what he'd look like, wondering how much those years in prison would have effected him. I'm not really sure what it is that I'm trying to say here, but it was really emotional watching them replay it tonight, and I wanted to share it with someone somehow.
