a bowl of bright blue liquor
a bay of dark blue ocean
a wooden shelter covering
two bodies locked in motion
skin scrapes on the sandy floor
with starshine peeking down
the tropic breeze that whispers by
blows tendrils on her crown
the waves create the rhythm
as they pound and then retreat
two bodies wrap in one embrace
and sway within the heat
the blistering sun has left them dry
and woken a smoldering beast
they gulp until their thirst is slaked
and then they take their feast
raindrops fall through ceiling slits
to mingle with the sweat
as the waves continue to crash
and both are dripping wet
while a wooden shelter covers
two bodies locked in motion
a bowl of bright blue liquor
a bay of dark blue ocean
