Came back from Guangzhou last Thursday from the Canton Fair. It was okay. Nothing really innovative, but the selection was extensive and the prices, reasonable. My uncle wanted to take us somewhere to eat scorpions and worms but I didn't get the chance to do so. The resto only had one order of scorpion soup left so it went to him. No complaints there haha.
Will leave for Istanbul on Thursday. After a ten year absence, I will finally have another chance to go back to the European continent (even if it's only at the tip of the continent). I've never been to the Middle East so I'm really excited, though Turkey is the most westernized country in the lot. If given the choice, I would like to visit Iran (on holiday) someday and see the ancient cities of Persepolis and Bam. Or Egypt. That would be cool.
Will have a two-day stop in Singapore afterwards. I personally prefer the city over its main rival, Hong Kong. The people aren't rude, and I find everything to be cleaner and much more efficient. It's less crowded, too. My only complaints are that it's so hot and most stores are closed by 8PM.
I'm into the home stretch of my vacation yet I'm still quite bothered by the fact that I left something behind. Nasasayangan ako! I hate that feeling. Can't easily get it out of my head.
For the past few weeks, I've been catching up on my backlog from as early as 2005. I've taken care of a large part of it, yet I still see a large pile right beside me. It's bottomless I tell ya!
