i'm moving to birmingham

i got a call tuesday at work, asking if i could be up in bham wed. at 11:30 for an interview. i scrambled around, got my shift covered, threw everything in the car and was in town by 11pm that night. i interviewed with 2 people and by the time we finished, i was asked to come back the next day at 9:30. so today i interviewed with one of the same people, and someone new. just before that interview was over, a thrid person stuck their head in and asked if she could interview me, too. i was 5 minutes out of bham when they called and told me they were offering me the job, starting 8/13. they made an offer, and i made a counter offer. but, either way, it pretty much doubles my salary, plus i'll be in a corporate position. so it looks like i'm moving to bham in 2 weeks. i'll live with family or friends for the first few weeks, and apartment hunt after work and in the evenings, then get a u-haul and drive my stuff up one weekend.
i also have another big piece of news, but will save it for later.
