Perspective on change

Less than four months ago I worked for Target Corporation as a security officer. My role was most for looks and strictly procaughtionary. I was promoting a presense of authority thereby envoking a sense of security. For the most part this security did not really exist short of me wrestling someone and handcuffing them. I felt my job was a losing battle in an overwhelming war of the law executors vs. the law breakers. Even given this very small role I stuck to the job because I believed in the cause should the moment arise for me to do something about it.

Three months ago I left Target Corporation and signed on with S4F Inc. This move was made for two reasons. 1. It was my door into the MIS Industry and 2. I beleived in the service that the business was selling. After a few months of getting the hang of my current position "technical support" I have come to find many valuable things I can do for this company which makes me feel more alive than any job ever did. At last I can truely put my energies into something that will make a difference in peoples lives and I get paid for it! This company is full of competent potential that in the end will launch it into a very big business. Is that why you're staying? some might ask. I look at it this way. This business as it grows will influence more people. With its underlying mission being that of increasing workplace productivity, protecting children's innocence, and helping those overcome addiction I see this company having a very positive effect on the econmy and possibly the nation. but I'm babbling now so I'm going to stop.
