Last minute summer reading/books to start the semester off with:
Ceramics by Philip Rawson
Thinking Through Craft by Glenn Adamson
Postmodern Ceramics by Mark Del Vecchio
On Longing: Narratives of the Miniature, the Gigantic, the Souvenir, the Collection by Susan Stewart
The Poetics of Space: The Classic Look at How We Experience Intimate Places by Gaston Bachelard
and to finally finish
Contemplative Science: Where Buddhism and Neuroscience Converge by B. Alan Wallace
Will I finish these in the next 3 weeks? No. But they'll keep me busy when I'm not procrastinating.
- Matt and I are going camping in one week!(?) [read: how does time pass this quickly?!] Fingers crossed for NO RAIN IN MAINE.
- I have gotten NO studio work done this summer. Predictably disappointing. So much so, it gets an emoticon. >:[
- I think I'm going to try to go to Providence this Saturday to move into my 'new' studio space (Wynn's space). Also, a stop at Lush. (I am addicted. If you do not know this store, do not find out about it, or YOU TOO will be consumed)
+ This summer will be fondly remebered by the pint nights at Coat of Arms, pool at Legends, soundtrack:Ratatat, and the Bakery work. Also, amazing boyfriend. But that's old hat by now.
> Speaking of which-- one week from tomorrow is also Matt and I's 4 year anniversary!~ God damn! ♥ We totally rock.
