Nurburgring

So I took a lil trip yesterday to do some laps at the Nurburgring. I rented a normal Audi A3 Turbo Diesel with
all season tires, FWD mind you. First lap was in the rain, with lots of
LTO (lift throttle oversteer) in high speed sections.......got really hairy. Did a decent 11minlap (traffic and rain).

Then the Ring gods smiled apon my efforts, and they gave me light. Soon
the track was dry as I finished my remaining 3 laps (all on video of
course). I put a new 911 Turbo to shame by keeping up with him, and
posting a 10min15 lap.....improving but still shy of the 9min mark. 4th
lap, I began chasing a Vette, shortly after I made a fool of him and
passed him. The lap consisted of me destroying him in every corner, and
him catching me on anything straight. I was putting tires off, riding
the curbs........I was hauling ass......to a 9min30sec lap.

I was extremely pleased with this as it was my 4th lap in a car I had never driven, and my 9th lap on this track.......although I have done over a thousand laps in a simulator heh. Now I need to come back with a proper track car, no more of these rental cars....too slow.

I was def suprised by the Audi. It had nice low and midrange torque, but it suffered from understeer. I had to brake late into corners and lift to bring the ass around so as not to understeer. And damn was it a handful in the rain haha, you will see when I post the videos.
