Don't get me wrong - my Valentine's Day was still *awesome*. It just didn't go the way we had planned!
Poor Nat had to work all day - and have I mentioned how proud I am of him for working so hard at school and then putting in weekends as well? Amazing - but we had plans when he got home to finally watch "Gran Torino". When he finally got home we exchanged our presents - cologne, after shave, and a few books for him, a *ridiculous* display of tulips and champagne for me - had a little alone time at the house and then drove off to the drive-in.
Well, it seems like EVERYONE in Lubbock decided that Gran Torino was the perfect V-day flick as well, because the place was sold out. (I wasn't aware you could sell-out a drive-in, either, but apparently you can.) So we went home and decided to rent a few movies anyway - Brokeback Mountain, which we both loved but hadn't seen since it came out, and Stepbrothers, to cheer ourselves up afterward. Still, it was a fantastic evening, cuddling up in bed together, drinking champagne. I made us breakfast this morning and am now putting off the work I ought to be doing.
All in all, pretty successful!
