His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Thursday, September 21 To Saturday, September 23

The University at Buffalo is proud to host His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the fall as part of our 2006-07 Distinguished Speakers Series. The visit by His Holiness, who is the head of state in exile of Tibet and spiritual leader of the Tibetan people, is an unprecedented event for the university and the local community. It will give greater prominence to UB's vibrant Asian Studies Program and our many institutional and academic ties to Asia. The primary purpose of the visit by His Holiness is educational, and will include audiences with UB students and faculty. It is anticipated that His Holiness will receive an honorary degree from the State University of New York during his visit. An interfaith service with representatives of local religious communities also is planned. This is a truly great honor for the university, and a meaningful opportunity for our academic community and the larger communities we serve.

What now, mothafuckas.
WE PWN YOU!
