I have been having a dilemma for the last few days.
Said dilemma is about preparation for my civil procedure final on Friday.
You see, my mind naturally organizes civ pro information into outline form. But my mind, sick bastard that it is, also finds it easier to recall and utilize said information in flowchart form. The problem comes when I think about trying to MAKE a flowchart...all the lines, the boxes...WHERE DO I PUT EVERYTHING? The thought overwhelms me and I decide to just draft a few more possible policy questions instead.
Then came the most amazing flowchart-making software in the universe:
OmniGraffle.
You input all of your information in outline form, and the program AUTOMATICALLY TURNS IT INTO A FLOWCHART. You can even move the boxes around, and the lines automatically adjust! You can add extra lines too, and they all integrate beautifully. Color-coding? SURE! Go for it!
I finished two flowcharts in less than an hour, and I'm going to do one more before going to bed (I have a final tomorrow, but it's not until 3pm). I am fairly certain that this task would have taken me hours if I tried to do it in a word processing program.
The best part is that I'm using a 14-day free trial! Although, considering how perfectly this software fills a void in my brain, and considering that I will be in law school for another five semesters, they may actually sucker me into buying it.
