As proned to complain about my job as I am, I love the benefits I'm receiving. Sure the pay sucks, I have to work with some Unbelievably Annoying Fuckheads™, and I never imagined myself in any directly-related customer service position. But my boss is one of the Truest people I've ever met, I'm eating healthier, and developing skills to not only aid future employment but furthermore (and realistically) any social interaction whatsoever. And you thought I was a social butterfly. (tisk.)

Ah, the perks of a big city. While jogging to work today I noticed that right outside my apartment building is a 15-block street festival lasting through the weekend. It mainly consisted of numerous shops with random assortments of jewelry, wood carvings, glassware, a few henna booths, and way too many typical landscape paintings for me to stomach. There was, however, this incredible showman of a juggler who performed a feat that consisted of standing atop a three-level shelf system, supported by a tube that rolled freely about on the ground, while spinning a plate on the tip of a long nail placed in his mouth and simultaneously juggling machetes. Other highlights included a really cool Capoeira performanced backed by several drummers, and a few hacky sack players with incredible footwork.

Being Seattle, it was pouring an absurd amount last night as I went to meet Ayda after work last night, and on my way I noticed four bird nests that had fallen to the sidewalk as a result. I couldn't keep from staring at them, and felt compelled in some estranged manner to lift up and secure them atop some near branches. Hrmm. I really don't know what I want to say. I'm not really sure what it was, but it hurt.

On a different note, have any of you had a song/artist/album shake you up a bit recently? I'd love to hear it.
