So instead of starting this by saying how long its been since I've given this lil "blog" a thought or second look, I'm just gonna start with this: I think I'm officially a runner!

Since high school, a handful of times I would try to run but nothing stuck. I'd last 3 or 4 weeks and, in that time only run a small amount 3ish times a week. This year (on Jan. 3rd, actually) I decided that I would run, just about any day that I could, at least 1 mile. I've kept at it and went from being out of breath and exhausted after a mile, to running 3 and a half miles this past Sunday, and feeling GREAT. I never knew I could do that, I had no idea that my lungs could do that. I'm hoping to run several races (but not to RACE) this spring/summer. 5k, preferably. The only hard part now is the time it takes to keep pushing yourself harder. A workout used to only take 10 minutes and soon it'll be close to 40 minutes. I've been keeping track on a calender how much I've run everyday. When I started this, I made a goal to run 250 miles in the year 2011. Thinking its something I could reach, if I stayed at it, but not knowing how fast my body was going to respond and get in shape.

January: 23 miles
February: 38 miles

I say lets go for 450 miles! Who the hell woulda thought?!
