pam came this past weekend and it was sooooo refreshing. my whole summer so far has been consumed with work, wedding planning, and.......that's just about it. but this weekend really felt like summer and it was greaat. saturday afternoon we met up with some girls for ashley's bachelorette party and took a merengue (sp?) dance lesson in mishawaka. it definitely made me miss swing...and i'm considering going there for that.....and hopefully taking erik, cuz i think he'd make an awesome swing partner, he just doesn't know it yet!
after dinner at papa vinos, we drove up to niles, michigan to watch rialto play. they had another great show, a show where some people actually screamed for them, which was new and exciting. wooooo. we left soon after they played, thinking we were headed home until we noticed the sun setting and pam said "LET'S GO WATCH IT SET ON LAKE MICHIGAN!" ok! so we went west and north and west and north on crazy michigan backroads, some even made of dirt. after about 45 minutes or so we end up in a little town called lakeside, accessed the lake from a lakeside inn wooden stairway of over 100 stairs....and wow, a beauuutiful beach.. we missed the sunset, but we still played in the water, in our jeans, which weighed approximately 20 lbs more on our way back UP those steps. but it was fun and so worth it. amazingly we had no problem getting back home. we found 12, which found 31, which found 20, and BOOM we're back in indiana, eating ice-cream at steak'n'shake, and looking pretty ridiculous in hoodies and skirts. we had to change into soooomething. it was wonderful. i love pam!
AND MY VEIL IS BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS! it's perfect......eeeeeeeeee!
today i had the day off and got lots of stuff done, including applying at ADEC, and buying 100 tea-lights, all our unity candle equipment, and 25 vases for the reception tables.....all for only $30ish!!!!!!! all the glass stuff was half off. who wants to claim all my wedding supplies after my wedding? so far we're going to have 30 12x12 glass mirrors, 30ish medium vases, we'll have a few large vases, and possibly white cloth napkins (because its cheaper to buy them than rent them....ridiculous.) maybe i should just start my own wedding rental store and become a billionaire. oooor just donate them to a church or to my many soon-to-be-getting-married-friends. anyway, i gotta go, but i love you!
