When English majors marry, you end up with 9000 books in a tiny house. I almost wrote "too many books"...but that's not possible.
Although, we have reached maximum capacity. Especially as M adds to her collection of children's books. Where shall we put them all???
I decided to do a sort through. I eliminated some old text books that I would likely never use ever again. Easy. Four books gone, haha.
Next step: eliminate books I hate. That gets rid of Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" (I know, it's controversial to hate Margaret Atwood, but I do!).
But, what do I do with books that I hate that any serious book lover "should" have in his or her collection? Keep or give away?
Also, what do I do with books that I haven't read yet? Take them off the shelf until I read them? Make the shelves a collection of beloved texts?
Should I relocate entire sections? Yes, my shelves are arranged into sections by genre/time period, and alphabetically in those sections.
What do your bookshelves look like? What are some books I should ADD to my collection (I know, I know...counterproductive, but I must know!!).
