ps: so the guy next to me on my flight way back was a belgian footie journalist covering the kirin cup (belgium x chili x japan) and he filled me in on the results of the other leagues since i hadn't been following anything at all. wolfsburg? wow. and koln's in mid-table. what does hennes think about this?

Yeah, Wolfsburg. Poor Sarah...;)

He's frigging happy, Hennes. He's looking forward to see Poldi next season, too (had Köln been relegated the contract with Poldi would have been automatically annulated). *g*

Hope you'll get over your jet lag soon! Do you have a few days off now or is it straight back to work?

Haha, am actually quite okay with Wolfsburg winning. My goal was second place ever since the Schalke game, would have found it quite embarrassing to win the league after such a season to be honest. And anyone is better than Stuttgart (yes, I'm aware we'll pay them a ridiculous amount of money now for a man who can't even score against Liechtenstein).;))

Hope Poldi will do well for you guys though I'm almost sure of that!!:))

Hal!!*waves* How was France? Did you have a good time despite all the work?

Hee, I was rooting for Stuttgart. *g* But WOB certainly did deserve the title, no doubt.

Poldi needs to be motivated and spoiled, then he's a good player. And the chances of Köln spoiling the kid are higher than in Munich. :D

I have a high opinion of Gomez, tbh. 30 millions are way too much but I think you'll have fun with him.

I have a high opinion of Gomez,

...you do? not that i've been following him, but last i heard (and it was a good few months ago, yeah), he seemed to be one of the most overrated players in germany, or so some of the reporters/commentators said. ;)

but anyway. if hennes is happy, i'm happy♥

as for work, being a free-lancer, it's always on and off at the same time. at least i get to control some of it though! thanks for asking and hope work's been fun for you too. will you be covering the transfer madness during off-season?

I think it's exactly the opposite: He's one of the most underrated players in Europe because of his (very, very, very bad) Euros. The guy has got everything: height, technique, power and goal instinct. IMO he's about four times as good as Toni, for example.

If he fails in Munich then I'll be the first to come here again and say "Oh God, how wrong was I.." but as I said, I think in Bavaria they'll have a lot of fun with this guy. ;)

ah, sarah. so you're no stuttgart fan. *ggg* again i've been out of the footie loop here so i don't have any effing clue, but what, by your analysis looking back, made your boys fall behind? kinda curious ( ... )

hmm, i did read/hear stuff about our dear franck and i think i know what you mean about his attitude. weren't there also rumours of possible transfers? oh and the defence. i remember now how you were upset by that. maybe you should lure back metze perhaps. :p ooh and did i just see good ole oli blasting klinsmann?? and who is this louis van gaal?re:cannes, well i think the overall attendance dropped due to the economic crisis and swine flu scare, but they had less hollywood films in the main selection resulting in less hollywood actors attending. the biggest redcarpet was probably tarantino's inglorious basterds, which is where paris was spotted, as it drew most of the hollywood celeb types in town. the film market side was suffering as expected, but i was quite surprised to see that the number of non-festival/market people pretty much were consistent with the other years, meaning that on certain days, you couldn't take a step without bumping into someone blocking the street. i heard the hotels didn't enjoy full occupancies with their ( ... )
