Had a chance to watch it now myself. The guys on As had made it sound as if he had a really really bad match (somebody said it reminded him of the match against Lyon/Carew). But in the end he had a pretty normal, average match. Nothing better but nothing worse either... Stupid users. Now that As is actually being pretty nice to the boy its users start being mean. *eyeroll*
What was weird though was that to me the boy looked a bit as if he wasn't enjoying his time out there. You know, even in difficult matches and when he's pissed with himself or his team mates he always looks like he's loving what he's doing but tonight he looked (to me) as if he was somewhere else with his head. Also looked a bit tired. I'm probably wrong though...
So Juande said he subbed him because he was booked and Juande didn't want to risk him getting a 2nd? That was his second booking of the season and he's supposed to get two in the same match? And he puts in Gago who gets booked after 3 minutes himself? Alright...
Well, Canna was looking at Iker and then pointing at Pepe. Iker also pointed at Pepe and then put his finger on his mouth. More obvious than that? *g*
Oh, and I understand the boy when he's emo because of Pepe. He's causing me physical pain. And a bit more every day.
And now they have that "Let's praise Pepe even more - he isn't getting enough recognition by the media yet"-thing on realmadrid.com. And the fans on my local board immediately reacted to that with the classic "Pepe is the best defender in the world" "He has to help out Canna all the time." "Hopefully Metze plays in the next match" "They could try things in the next two matches. Give Agus and Schorch a chance" "Next year with Garay everything will be better". To which I react with my classic "I must be living in a parallel universe".
Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh. And I haven't seen the Cannavarini for a long long time now. Does this have anything to do with the boy being emo over Pepe? No, just wanted to say it out loud.
Did anyone else notice that Canna had words with Raul also? Right after Raul scored, instead of congratulating him, it looked like Canna was arguing with him. Then Raul went over and hugged Gago (who was on the bench). It was all a bit strange.
Up until he was subbed, I though Canna had an OK game too. The yellow was reasonable, I guess, and notable only because he gets them so rarely. The most notable thing was definitely the dynamics, especially with Iker.
I second y'all's assessment of the midfield. They were driving me crazy.
On the plus side: Miggy played! And remained hot while doing so. And that Pedro Leon guy wasn't shabby either.

But how come he always subs Canna recently when there's a tactical change to be made?
The Metze-loving-fraction certainly has grown bigger now. :-(
I'm officially depressed now.

Anyway, just my two cents. *g*

Don't think there was a moment of silence, was there? But nice gesture by Canna to put on the black bandage.

RM's caption for the picture seemed to indicate there was one... Oh well.

But that looked like a normal "Okay, we're leading but we're not playing well and have to ajust a few things"-talk to me...?
