(no subject)
Yeah, so I have not done this thing here for days on end I guess & well there is not too much to tell still. At the moment I have just been working 3-4 days a week 8-14 hour days & going to school Monday to Thursday for my cooking labs :) I am going to be the "chef" in the kitchen controlling the 6 course menu (that I pretty much created all by myself) this Monday too :p Good stuff, but stressful at the same time.
Speaking of stress-ness :/ Oiy- work was just annoying & kinda funny at the same time. I saw my chef on the line, boy did he get spooked. He can not handle "real" cooking for high volume at all! What a prick too->he was not giving us our order in/fire tickets... so of course all the orders were being late, cold, or just messed up. At the end of the night I told him that I thought that he was wrong about doing that to us and that he really made things worse, then he had another little hissy fit about it all. "oh no Im not wrong, if you would have had tickets you would have lost tables." I told Boris that it doesnt matter what he says, we all know the truth (that his way today was MUCH worse). Oddly enough, there was something that kept me from even letting it all get to me too much though. Sure it was annoying, but bleh...he wants to talk crap- then whatever. Watch him loose all his staff for being stupid about certain things. :/
*Hector told me today that he has to get my email cause when he leaves & gets outta that place he will call me up and take me with him :) When he has a place of his own -or when he is more know- then he wants me on his crew cause he thinks that I will be great! WooT! Hector does not BS about things like that either~ Makes me smile & feel good to think about that.
My arms & hands are a WRECK between burning fingers at school, & today burning my whole palm cause of a hot handle. Also cut my knuckle while doing the lamb & Rodolpho accidentally burned my arm yesterday too. Anna is pry right that chefs end up having the worst hands-> and yet the best cause they are so creative too.
I dont really like to talk about work too much, but I dunno...work is work. I love that I can find the good in the bad though. Despite the way that the food was today because of Andrew (chef), I still had a decent time. I made wonderful fatoosh [thats a tomato & cucmber-etc salad which is really yummy]:) & breaded excellent rack of lamb & even some pretty decent dark cashew sauce. ;p Pshhhhhh & woot.
Going to practice for the talent show thing tomorrow & I gotta get some school work done. :/ Wish that I had a car to get to church, cause transport is a BIG reason why I have not been able to go. I really really wanna be there too...at least I am in spirit :]
