According to Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (in its 71st reincarnation, 1990-1991), isopropyl iodide boils at 891 °C, while 1-tetratriacontanol (saturated C-34 alcohol, or n-carnatyl alcohol) melts at 913 °C. I don't understand how do these oopsies make it to the final edition (not only this one, I assume) - they are so easy to spot! Just out of curiosity, I looked up in the end of melting and boiling point indices of organic compounds - et voilà. Trust noone.
Currently I am enjoying Californian winter. Too rainy for my taste, though[1]. Alaskan Winter Ale and Kentucky Bird pipe tobacco are good. Yeah.
[1] - I don't really mean it. I'm only writing this to piss off people residing in not-so-nice-in-winter areas. :)
