Good readers,
We have had many an astonishing and unusual story brought to you by this
fine news-paper over the many Wheels we have been in informal operation. To-day,
however, we reveal to you an astounding story that seems hardly available within
the bounds of possibility. AND YET IT HAPPENED!
Recently, a ROUGE LABORATORY - yes, you have read that correctly - was
spotted emerging from the DarkUnder region of our misguided cousin warp Down in
the form of a large golem, leaking quick-silver - yes, dear readers, this golem
was animated by none other than the StrangeVirus!
Fortunately for the health and sanity of our beloved Warp, this
diabolical Machine's goal seemed to merely be that hive of darkness, Strange.
Accordingly, its path was able to be deduced, and the fearful golem was quickly
subdued by the noble and capable Strange Medical Corps by means of a false
mirror, we at THE NOTIONAL TOPPER are told.
Reports of the cause of this incident are sketchy, but it seems reason-
able to attribute this to earlier unconfirmed reports of the Laboratory of the
now famous Nikolai (whom, as readers may be reminded, was the creator of a most
wonderous Vaccine against that evil quicksilver scourge) having itself been im-
pregnated by the Virus.
Now, it is not my place to speculate on such things, but, good readers,
one must note that this is something the Virus has never been known by us to be
capable of before. This says to us at THE NOTIONAL TOPPER that Something Un-
usual, something Different, something - dare we say it - STRANGE is afoot here.
What might it be? Is the Virus attempting to surge out into the rest of the
Mess? ARE WE IN DANGER?
