Not the television show...
I have, recently, had conversations with people about the possibilities of strictly platonic friendships between the two sexes. And I realized that there is a common thread, something that binds all those who do not believe that platonic friendships can exist between the two sexes. Each one of them says to me "men and women can't JUST be friends. Haven't you seen When Harry Met Sally?" And the truth, the cold hard truth, is that, no... no I have NOT seen When Harry Met Sally. And so it occurs to me that perhaps we are separated into two groups of people: those who have seen this movie and those who haven't. Furthermore, if people who HAVE seen this movie can't be "just friends" with members of the opposite sex, then I don't think I'll EVER see this movie. Of course, if the day comes that I, all of a sudden and entirely out of the blue, decide to have a "more than friends" encounter with say, Eric Warner or Jeffrey Batcher, I'll watch the damn movie. BUT until that day comes (and don't keep your fingers crossed!) I'm just fine having never seen, and never intending to see, When Harry Met Sally.
so screw you, Meg Ryan!
