Bittersweet Sunday

Today was the last showing of Chicago. We put on what was probably the best performance of the weekend, to ironically the smallest crowd (at 123 people). And you know, after helping to re-hang curtains, I walked out of the theatre, and felt...odd. I don't know, it's a very strange feeling to be in a place and know that you will never be in that ( Read more... )

Ahhh, yes...the feeling of the last time in the theater...feels weird, doesn't it? Kinda like your last radio show next week. That'll feel odd too. Truly, it is. Pretty soon, we'll forget and live on for whatever we're doing...

Kinda reminds me of when I was part of the band in the musical "Con Amore" -- the last time you're in the theater, the last time you have a shot at a play, etc etc. It was fun, and I'd do it over and over again if I had to. It's quite the feeling.

Yeah, that was a fun play. It's even stranger for me, I suppose, becuase I've been doing plays since grade school (I was in a class production in 4th grade, and again in 6th). Ever since freshman year of highschool, I think I've been a part of every single show (except maybe 1 or 2) that I could. To go from that into not having it at all is just so...strange....

Nope, next week -- first week of May. Which means I have 2 shows (well, really, 1 1/2 because of the media banquet) left. But I talked to Adam, and I want to start a wave of graduating seniors to come back and do radio shows.

Too bad you plan to move to Boston. I'm looking forward to doing a giant 4 hour show each week cause I'll have more time. Then maybe I can start stepping into local stations for fill-ins....
