movie rant
due to my parents recent trip to phuket, i have found there to be an abundence of 50c movies in their house.
therefore equalling my ass permanatly on the couch watching movies.
such as Elizabeth town...there were a few reasons why i wanted to see it but mainly because it is a Cameron Crowe film, i remember some of his other films that i didn't mind, eg. Vanilla Sky.
But, this one.
Was.
Horrible.
It was all over the place. I don't know even where to begin, they tried to make it this complex white drama dealing with love, death, suicide and estranged family.
I think to sum it up; it was a typical chick-flick storyline with sci-fi thriller writers...just didnt seem to fit.
I also saw Finding Neverland, a gorgeous movie, and me trying to pick it apart and try and describe it wont do it justice...a new movie added to my list of fav's...
Oh! and sunday night my family went to go see Jarhead....i found myself doing either one of two things while watching this movie. 1) shaking my head throughout most of the duration of this film at the arrogance of the US Marine's, and 2) wiping the drool from my bottom lip whenever Jake Gyllenhaal came on screen [i think that's how you spell his name]
and now today, my last day in townsville, im going to spend it playing pool and going to see Walk the Line and dye my hair...
