bi-monthly (or however long it's been) update.... Xmas edition!
Came home for xmas. Bob and I decide to drive to Corner Brook to do some shopping. 10 minutes outside of Rocky Harbour we hit some slush, spin around a bit and slid ass first into the ditch. The rear of the car jams into a rock cut and the car is pretty well written off. Luckily neither of us are hurt at all, albeit a little shook up.
It's not a terrible, Christmas-cancelling event though. Dad was hoping to get the Lumina to last until the end of next summer before he got a new car, so that plan is just bumped up a bit. The silver lining to all this is that within 12 hours of the accident Dad tracked down and struck a deal on a new car from a dealer in Nova Scotia. So now there's a new Impala LT out in the driveway and I'm looking for any opportunity I can find to drive it cause it's HOTTT.
Black, spoiler, power sunroof, power seats, cd player, OnStar, remote start, general sex appeal. All qualities I've never seen in our family cars. This one even has a hands-free PHONE. A mofo PHONE! With 100 prepaid minutes. And it always has service, so it'll be handy in cell phone dead zones. I'm still looking for the ejection seat and machine guns.
So yeah. Now i'm excited for xmas and there's family coming and we're gonna have good food and be merry and such. For now, i finish helping clena up and then go to the gym. Happy Christmas everyone! And Merry Birthday to Lance. YAY!
