I have done the Me update and now I will do the TV update. I've been catching up on a lot of TV and it has been most enjoyable.

I finally finished The Tudors which went out just as ridiculously as it went in, so that was satisfactory. The women consistetly steal the show but, then, I think that's the story of Henry VIII's life.

I am so in love with Mad Men this season. It's just been great episode after really great episode. This week's episode literally made me cry (something that MM had not yet done). For me the show really shines when it moves away from Don Draper and focuses more on the lives of the women in the cast. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that I want to wrap Sally Draper up and make all the bad things go away. That poor kid.

I've watched the pilot for Nikita which was fun but didn't totally grab me (I'll give it another week or so) and I just watched the pilot of The Event. It was most exciting and I definitely want to see more. It's like they took the Flash Forward and V pilots from last season and figured out how to do them right. Now they just have to keep it moving. Plus, I was most delighted to see Taylor Cole (aka Sarah Blake) and hope I wasn't the only one to see the very blatant Vicki/Leila slash potential.

I've also started watching Pillars of the Earth which just wrapped on Starz. It's an historical drama, a genre for which I'm ridiculously easy. It was good and I plan to get to the next episode sometime this week. After all, how could I not watch something that has Ian McShane being very Al Swearingen? If, of course, Al Swearingen were a priest and not a gangster/pimp. I also have the Boardwalk Empire pilot to watch and I'm looking forward to it, if only for Steve Buscemi and Michael K. Williams. Plus, you know, historical drama FTW.

baylorsr and dodger_sister have been watching BtVS and Angel recently and I have new, shiny thoughts about that to share. But I think that deserves its own post, so I will bid you all adieu and go to class.
