OMG. Turned estate plan in this morning. Thank goodness that is finally done and I can move onto other things. Like outlining.

Well, actually, my plan is to ignore all school-type things until tomorrow, at the very latest. Because my brain needs a little vacation. Poor tired brain.

OMG, why did no one tell me that there was a comic book prequel to the upcoming Star Trek movie? OMG I WANT THIS! Also, every time I see a trailer for that movie I nearly have an apoplexy. Not only does it look like it's going to be 'Kick My Ass' awesome but also you never forget your first fandom love. OMG STAR TREK!

So, apparently Amazon is made of Fail. Good to know. As long as they're being discriminatory assholes they don't need my business. And even though my feelings about Twitter are still ambiguous it certainly showed what kind of power it had yesterday when it deluged Amazon in complaints. Good job, you tweeters. Keep up the good work.

And speaking about internet things about which I'm ambiguous, I'm beginning to conclude that Facebook = high school. Maybe that's because in the week that I've had a Facebook I've primarily run across people who I haven't really interacted with since high school. It's kind of ... bizarre. Not bad, just, yeah, bizarre.

Though the Big Lug's sock puppet just friended me, for epic lulz. ;-)

Easter was a fairly typical non-event. Yes, we all got together (except the Big Lug who stayed in Virginia) and had a meal and yes it was tasty. Second verse, same as the first. I love my family but it'll be nice when my brothers get married and start having kids so at least there'll be a little more excitement on the holidays.

But let's not get me started on the topic of nieces and nephews. I so desire to have little kids to spoil (and mold in my own image) that I've co-opted the Baylors' nephew and have all sorts of plans about what I'm going to get him. I've already bought him a stack of picture books and that's only the tip of the crazy iceberg. There are many things that kids Must Have and I'm going to get them for him.

Because, seriously, I would be an awesome aunt. And one day I'll get the chance to prove it for realz.

Oooo, We Shall Remain starts tonight on PBS. I can't wait to watch it. It looks excellent.

pictures telling stories, i'm a big ol' dork, family
