(no subject)

Thankfully was not sacrificed to a pagan god at the cider mill on Saturday. Of course, the downside to that is that there weren't any Winchesters to rescue me, either. Oh well, them's the breaks.

I think I might be giving up on Heroes, you guys. I spent a lot of last night's episode bored and disinterested. I guess I just don't care enough about any of the characters to continue plowing through episodes that captivate me so little.

Maybe I'll give it another chance. We'll see how I feel next Monday.

This would seem like the ideal place to discuss character-based vs. plot-based storytelling. And also why keeping Sylar alive at the end of the first season was an idiotic move. But I don't feel like putting that much time and energy into the subject.

Speaking of storytelling, I'm halfway into the second chapter of the longest, most complex story I've ever attempted. It's kinda ... overwhelming. Just had to completely scrap 4 handwritten pages when I realized that they were boring and pointless. I must remember that all of the times I've pep-talked people I think are the awesomest writers ever and apply that advice to myself. I might think it all sucks now but I'm sure it'll all turn out well. *crosses fingers*

Unless, of course, I really am as sucky as I think I am. don't be a freak, don't be a freak don't be a freak ... *eyeroll*

Okay, I think that's just about my entire allotment of self-pity for the week. Moving on. ;-)

Not much else to report. Spilled cereal all over myself and my couch last night. I guess I was performing prop comedy to an audience of no one (hee). That book I was reading, Spellbinder, fell apart before the end, unfortunately. Found pumpkin ice cream at the grocery store (awesome).

Most importantly, NEW SUPERNATURAL AIRS THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!11!1!!1!! \m/
