Thank goodness, the heat wave finally broke. I was getting so sick and tired of sunny, warm weather. It's just not natural. Bring on the rain! I love rain!
I think I've read as much about res judicata as I'm going to be able to this evening. The class is behind, anyway, so if I don't read the entirety of this week's assignment I think I'll be okay. Plus, we're still doing the bits that I got last term.
I had wicked insomnia the past few days and it all culminated last night in my complete inability to sleep. I tried, boy did I ever. I wasn't helped by the fact that my little oven of an apartment didn't want to cool down even though I caved and turned on the A/C. At 6:30 I got up and left. I spent some time driving and then stopped for a bagel. My plan was to go to the bookstore when it opened and stay there all morning because today was the day of apartment inspections and I never like to be around when people are poking around. I actually fell asleep in the bookstore parking lot, woke up two hours later when the car was getting hot and went to a nearby park where I dozed for another half hour, or so. Finally went back home after that and slept until 5PM. It was quite the random experience. And sleeping in one's Pontiac Grand Am is not terribly comfortable.
I've started writing something rather ambitious, at least for me. I love the story and it's all I want to do so I've purposefully had to back-burner it, at least through this weekend. My first office memorandum is due on Friday and I really need to focus on that style of writing, as boring as it is. I would much rather be writing about Winchesters. Stupid law school.
Watched Heroes last night even though have been ambivalent about the new season. I was a little disappointed with the finale. The thing about that show is that even though I'm not really attached to any of the characters the writers plot it in such a way that they make me intensely curious to find out what the hell is going on. So I know I'll keep on watching. It's an entertaining way to spend an hour, if nothing else.
Wow, I am the Oxford Dictionary definition of boring. Somebody stop me before I put you all to sleep. ;-)
tv is my crack,
