(no subject)
I wrote today and it was fantastic. It's amazing how much I crave it when I'm neck deep in more frustrating pursuits that drive all creative energy straight out of me. If all goes well and I put off cleaning my apartment for another day or so I might just have an entire story written by tonight. That makes me happy.
Random unspoiler-y observation about last Thursday's SPN: No matter what you want to say about the episode good or bad it was absolutely their love letter to their crew and their fans. They love us and we love them and all is right with the world.
Random unspoiler-y observation about the new series of Doctor Who: Rose was very much the plucky Disney sort of heroine who used her wits and her good sense to not only discover but take advantage of her adventure while Martha is very much the fangirl sort of heroine who uses her intelligence and practicality to see her own way through. I love them both and can't wait to see what kinds of hijinks Martha and Ten will get up to.
If I ever see another discussion going on about how immoral fanfiction is and how it's ruining literature I will be sure and point out the works of V.C. Andrews in order to prove the point that literature was ruined a long time ago. After the discussion over breakfast on Sunday somehow I no longer feel as if I wasted my adolescence by reading bad fantasy novels. Not that I didn't read Flowers in the Attic when I was in high school but that's still more age appropriate then reading it when I was, say, 12.
The things I missed out on when I was a kid by being the quiet one, like big high school parties and kiddie incest. Well, I guess that's what college is for. ;-)
Obee kaybee, off to do other things. They say it's supposed to storm today. I hope it does, a good storm is always exciting.
