I promised myself I would try to stay off of Livejournal as much as possible during the school year. It would be really fabulous to be able to go "hey, well now it's summer so I can do whatever!" but I got a horrendous stomach virus in the middle of finals so I still have to go back to school next week and finish them up. So that sorta sucks. I've decided it's summer anyway, though--until finals, at least.
Today I tried watching The Princess And The Frog, which I bought months ago and put on hold until school was over, but despite being new, it's very freeze-happy. Maybe it'll work better if I watch it on the TV instead of my laptop. I'm pretty sure freezing DVDs don't actually work that way, but it's worth a shot.
I also started watching Durarara!! and it's surprisingly good. All of the characters are interesting and the storyline is pretty unique. I usually like getting into things after they've been completed so I can marathon them (i.e. take like two weeks to a month to finish, yes I am slow) but I got into it pretty late so I got to do that for half the episodes at least. Unfortunately, for some reason I am really not into Izaya/Shizuo and apparently that is 90% of the fanart/fanfiction/etc. On a different note, I've started reading various American comics too. I've read some random Batman in the past, as well as Harley Quinn's miniseries and The Runaways, but recently I suddenly decided to read more. So I guess I'm just reading some more random Batman now and The Young Avengers. I think I finished The Young Avengers since I couldn't find any more of it but where I left off really didn't feel like an ending, so I'm a little confused.
I'm not really sure what to make of Pokemon White/Black but the new Pokemon look... sort of weird, haha. The 3D aspect sounds pretty neat, but I just hope they can pull it off without everything looking really jagged.
Also, I got the Ace Attorney art book a while back and I'm still sort of shocked that Trucy has a ponytail! That sounds ridiculous, I know, but I'd always just sort of assumed she had shoulder length-ish hair somehow. Oops! Obviously it's too early to start wondering about AA5 since AAI just came out a few months ago, but I can't help wishing some news about it will miraculously come up some day.
