I went to Magdeburg with my archaeology darlings. It was amazing!! Look, this is our excavation at the Dome. If you look closely at the picture, you can se the bones of a 1.200 year old skeleton sticking out of the wall!!! Heike, whou organized the super-exhibition on the Holy Roman Empire Of German Nations and wrote the catalogue, explained every exhibit. We went to Quedlingburg (world cultural heriatge, founded in 2. century a.d.), Naumburg and Halle. I've never known how beautiful this country is, I've never enjoyed a trip this much.
I love my archaeology students, and my lecturer is a darling!! But that they know everything about Charlemagne and knew neither Audrey Hepburn not Breakfast At Tiffany's scared the living daylights out of me.
