Ah yes, the 1998 Festiva is making terrible noises. Sounds like a jackhammer. My service centre is closed for the holidays. So I called the RACV and the man said he had never heard such noises. He could not diagnose the cause. He said I should not drive it at all. So I rang Gordon at the service centre. He said he would be back at work on Monday and to leave the car in the yard.
I am allowed a few tows by the RACV as long as the distance is <20km. So I rang them again and they towed my car the 3 blocks to the service centre.
I had a a 1996 Ford Festiva for 10 years and I got this 1998 car because it had air conditioning. Also, it was cheap. But it is an old car. I sure hope Gordon can fix it.
Off to get a blood test. Will get on the bus. Not a long ride.
