Mississippi is getting ready for crazy weather. I'm lying here with my laptop on my stomach reading Gustav updates. I was stuck in traffic this afternoon on the interstate from Louisiana evacuees. I'm in Jackson, MS, so even in the central part of the state, we experienced Katrina a few years ago. Learning from that, people are preparing for long periods of time with no power, no running water and nowhere to get gas. Though Gustav is expected to move a little more west this time and without the same power, people are still just taking precautions. I even filled up some pitchers of water, made sure I have enough ice and nonperishables, etc. I'm most concerned with making sure I juice up my computer and camera before the power goes out... haha... oh and running my air very cool to get a cool air reserve before it gets hella hot. But none of this may be necessary. We shall see.
