I do not know how many of you know this, but I do so care for podcasts, especially comedic ones. I know that there are some very seriously popular ones like the show This American Life, but they are a bit too human interest for me.
One of my all-time favorites is the
Nerdist podcast. It started off as three friends (two of which were comedians) who would interview a big-named comedian (like Jim Gaffigan or Drew Carey) to learn what makes them tick and just to shoot the shit with them. Now, all three of the friends are comedians, and they do two podcasts a week - one with a guest star and the other with just the three of them.
Well next year, they are doing a live tour, and one of their stops is in Atlanta! The tickets went on pre-sale on Thursday, and I was not going to buy any yet because I was going to see if anyone wanted to come with me. Well, as soon as I realized that the show was going to be at the Variety Playhouse (which is a perfect place place for it to be at but a small venue), that took my hesitation away. Bought two tickets and will be laughing away nerd-like and gleefully in March (with someone - not sure who). I was so excited that I kept looking at my tickets that were sent!
I told my boss about it yesterday, and she gave me her crazy look (ha!) but then stated, 'You know what? Be you."
Have no choice but to be me.
Remember to love.
